3.Account & Authentication
3.1 Google Account Requirement
MaxDrive requires at least one Google account to function. By connecting your Google account, you authorize MaxDrive to access your Google Drive files and metadata through Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol.
3.2 Multiple Accounts
You may connect multiple Google accounts. You are responsible for ensuring you have authorization to access each connected account.
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Google account credentials
- All activities that occur through your connected accounts in MaxDrive
- Immediately notifying us if you suspect unauthorized use of your accounts through the App
4.Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to use MaxDrive to:
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or Google's Terms of Service
- Upload, store, or distribute illegal content, malware, or harmful software
- Circumvent Google Drive's storage limitations through deceptive means
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Use the App's encryption features to conceal illegal activities
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App without written permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's services or Google's APIs
5.Intellectual Property
5.1 App Ownership
MaxDrive, including its source code, design, UI, logo, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Sanzox and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
5.2 License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use MaxDrive on your personal device(s) for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
5.3 Your Content
You retain full ownership of all files you upload, sync, or manage through MaxDrive. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content.
6.Google Drive & Third-Party Services
6.1 Google's Terms
Your use of Google Drive through MaxDrive is additionally subject to Google's Terms of Service and Google Drive's Terms of Service. In case of conflict between our Terms and Google's Terms regarding Google Drive usage, Google's Terms prevail.
6.2 API Quota & Limitations
MaxDrive operates within Google Drive API quotas. Excessive usage may result in temporary rate limiting imposed by Google. MaxDrive automatically handles rate limits with API key rotation and exponential backoff.
6.3 Third-Party Dependencies
MaxDrive uses third-party open-source libraries and Firebase services. These components are governed by their respective licenses and terms.
7.Encryption & Vault Feature
The Vault feature uses AES-256-GCM encryption. The encryption key is stored only on your device in Android's hardware-backed Keystore. We do not have access to your encryption key.
If you lose your encryption key (e.g., by clearing app data, factory resetting your device, or uninstalling the app without backing up your recovery key), your encrypted files cannot be recovered. Sanzox is not liable for data loss resulting from lost encryption keys.
8.Distributed Upload Feature
MaxDrive can split large files into smaller chunks and upload them across multiple Google Drive accounts. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:
- Each chunk is uploaded to the Google Drive account with the most free space
- Removing any connected account may make chunked files unrecoverable
- Storage quota consumption on each account is proportional to the chunks stored there
- MaxDrive tracks chunk metadata locally — clearing app data may prevent reassembly of distributed files
Sanzox is not responsible for any file loss or irrecoverability resulting from the removal of a connected Google account, clearing of app data, or uninstallation of the app while distributed chunks are stored across multiple accounts. It is your responsibility to ensure all connected accounts remain active until distributed files are no longer needed.
9.Photo & Video Auto-Backup
The Photo Auto-Backup feature, when enabled by you:
- Runs in the background using Android WorkManager (every 15 minutes)
- Only uploads photos and videos created after you enabled the feature
- Uploads files directly to your Google Drive — no intermediary servers
- Respects battery optimization (pauses when battery is low)
- Can be disabled at any time in Settings
You are responsible for ensuring you have sufficient Google Drive storage quota for auto-backup.
10.Disclaimer of Warranties
MaxDrive is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
